Niigan Mosewak is a summer camp hosted by the OPP for Indigenous youth.
The week long camp which ends this Friday focuses on Indigenous traditional teachings, team-building, sports and fun camp activities.
OPP Provincial Constable Jerry Novack says the camp, held at Camp Lutherlyn on Golden Lake has a number of objectives.
He says a prime goal is to foster positive relationships between Aboriginal youth and police, while encouraging youth to become role-models and leaders in their communities.
Camp Lutherlyn is located at 909 Zadow Road, in Golden Lake, and this afternoon at 1PM, OPP Brass from headquarters in Orillia drop by for a visit.
