The township of Greater Madawaska is stepping up their game when it comes to Fire Bans. The municipality is now under a Level 2 burn ban, which means no campfires, fireworks, chimineas, Chinese lanterns, ban busters or any open flame. While officials do acknowledge there is some rain in the forecast, it’s not enough to lift the burn ban. If you would like to report a fire during a Fire Ban, you are encouraged to call 9-1-1.
