Horton residents, you can place your recycling curbside for pick up again, starting August 12. Council has agreed to a six month contract with Canadian Waste Management. Collection will take place weekly, alternating between your co-mingled items such as bottles, plastics as well as cans, and your paper/fibre recycling. The township is encouraging residents to reference their original collection calendar to know what goes out when. Yellow dates are garbage and co-mingled, blue dates are garbage and paper/fibre pick up. Plastic bags are no longer accepted for recycling. This is in the interim while council tries to find a more permanent solution.
