The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP has arrested and charged a 46-year-old man from Pembroke with trafficking cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine. On July 18th, the Community Street Crime Unit arrested the man in the parking lot of a hotel on Pembroke Street west. The individual was wanted on a bench warrant for failing to attend court on a criminal code driving charge. Officers searched the vehicle owned by the suspect where they found the drugs and stolen property. As a result of the police investigation Jason Laundrie is facing three counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance (cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing on Tuesday (July 23rd) at the Pembroke courthouse.
