Lots of homes are selling across Renfrew County, but there’s less options on the market. The Renfrew County Real Estate Board says there was 269 new residential listings in June reaching a nine-year low for the month. At the end of June there was 779 active residential listings hitting a decade low for this time of the year. The dollar value of all home sales in June was $63.8 million, hitting a new record for the month. There was 261 sales of all property types last month worth $67.9 million. In June 240 homes were sold, which is down three from the record breaking month in 2018. Over the first six months of this year 1,014 homes have been sold showing a 14.2% increase from the same period last year. The local real estate board says this is the first time in history the local market has topped 1,000 sales in the first half of the year, putting 2019 on track to be the best year for home sales in the region.
