Pocket dials are costly and the Renfrew OPP is sharing tips on how to reduce the number of accidental calls you make to 911 with your cell phone. Suggestions include using the keypad lock feature, turning off the 911 autodial feature and refrain from adding 911 to your speed dial. Recently, Renfrew OPP responded to 33 accidental or pocket dial calls to 911. Each call requires an investigation which costs time and money.
