Members of the Renfrew Lions Club will turn back the clock for a bit of vintage fun this weekend.
They will host Vintage Bingo this Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, which organizer Diana Larocque says will put a classic, environmentally conscious spin on the famous game with old-school reusable cards and no daubers needed to keep the fun going all afternoon as they raise money in support of vision care for local children.
Vintage Bingo has been a concept that Larocque and her fellow Lions have played with in the past, and she hopes that people will show up to the Legion Lounge as they look to provide the community with more opportunities for worthwhile fun that benefit good causes.
Larocque also welcomes people to join them for an open house at their November 25 meeting, where guests can help package recycled eyeglasses destined for countries with kids in need, as well as learn more about the programming the Lions provide and how to be part of the effort.
Cards for Vintage Bingo will be $5 each or 3 for $10, with 50/50 tickets available at $2 each or 3 for $5.
