Cornwall had no answer for the Renfrew Wolves’ explosive start Thursday night.
Renfrew attacked early and often at the Ed Lumley Arena in an 11-3 win over the Cornwall Colts, scoring seven unanswered goals to open the game and never looking back.
Forwards Kyle Cameron (four goals, two assists) and Jason Laroda (two goals, four assists) each recorded six points to lead the offensive outburst.
Goaltender Renaud Auger-Mongrain also had a solid night, stopping 29 of 32 shots.
The Wolves have little time to celebrate, heading back on the road to face Brockville tonight. Catch the action on 96.1 myFM, with coverage starting at 7:30 p.m.
