A flurry of military training in the Ottawa Valley will continue as Garrison Petawawa.
Residents in the area are being advised that personnel from the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will be conducting training sessions in the public areas of the base from now until this Saturday, October 24.
Officials warn that people may see and hear military aircraft, as well as military personnel with firearms and pyrotechnics during both the day and night this week. However, efforts will be made to keep disruptions within the community to a minimum.
Captain James Shrubb, Public Affairs Officer for the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, says they are grateful for the opportunity to conduct realistic and challenging training in unfamiliar environments, which prepares them to serve the national interest wherever they operate.
