Small Business Week is here and runs from October 19th to the 23rd. Each day we will be featuring a small business from the community, speaking with them about their operations.
Today, we’re chatting with Omar Falah, Owner and Operator of Chicken Palace in Arnprior and Renfrew. Originating from Dubai, Falah wanted to bring the dishes and flavours of the UAE and Dubai to Arnprior.
In 2021, he opened the first location behind the CIBC on Elgin Street in Arnprior. The business became so popular that, after only two years, Falah had to find a bigger and better location in town. That’s when he purchased the former Scott’s Chicken Villa KFC on Madawaska and opened up shop.
The new location featured a dine-in option and an expanded kitchen allowed them to expand to include authentic shawarma. Falah says the increasing menu of exotic flavours is what sets Chicken Palace apart from the rest.
As of last year, the continued increasing popularity of the business gave Falah the opportunity to open a second location in downtown Renfrew. Since the opening of Renfrew’s location, he’s just seen the continued popularity of each location.
Now, 5 years since Falah opened the original location in Arnprior, he feels that the valley community is one large family. If you’re going to cook for your family you want to do it right, and get to know everyone enjoying your food.
You can find Chicken Palace at 145 Madawaska Blvd in Arnprior and 49 Raglan St. S. in Renfrew. Visit each location’s website to find out hours, social media pages and menus.
