UPDATE 2:50 am: Officers has reopened Highway 28 from Highway 41 and Highway 514 following their investigation. The OPP says one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drivers planning on travelling along Highway 28 will need to find an alternate route.
According to the OPP, Highway 28 is fully closed near Denbigh in Addington Highlands following a serious collision between two passenger vehicles just before 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.
Emergency responders are on scene and are still assessing injuries.
Police are asking the public to use alternate routes during this time as the roadway is fully closed between Highways 41 and 514.
