Sometimes the best fruits and veggies are the ones grown right here in town.
Oddfellows Park on Sidney Avenue in Renfrew has been home to the town’s community gardens since 1988.
Sixty-three plots fill the park, 29 of which are specifically dedicated to growing fresh produce for the Renfrew & District Food Bank.
Janyne Fraser, Community Outreach and Programs Supervisor with the Town of Renfrew says anyone who’s interested in joining the garden is welcome, however there is a waitlist.

Volunteers from the food bank and the community help keep the gardens thriving by weeding, watering and keeping pests clear. Fraser thanks Mike Noon and everyone for their hard work and dedication.
