Search warrant uncovers possible drugs and replica firearms in Renfrew.
The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted a search of a residence on Thursday, August 20th, in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
The search resulted in the seizure of 14 grams of suspected cocaine and three replica firearms.
As a result, police have charged 39-year-old Christopher Reid of Renfrew with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failure to comply with a release order – two counts.
The suspect is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing. The charges have not yet been proven in court.
