Professional cyclist or just a casual rider, all are welcome at this family friendly ride.
The Tour de Bonnechere returns to Eganville for its 15th year on August 30. With five routes ranging in difficulty, there’s something for everyone. Mark Holman, Chair of the Tour de Bonnechere ride says the event has been going on for years and shares the features of each route.
The five routes available are:
- Family Cave Coaster at 17.5km
- Gravel Grinder at 50km
- Bonnechere Beauty at 67km
- Bonnechere Beauty EZ at 100km
- Monarch of the Mountains at 100km
Each route ranges in difficulty and pricing depending on distance and inclines. Some will take you from Eganville to Renfrew and others will take you through the backroads to Quadeville and back.
After the day is done, it’s time to sit down and unwind from the journey. As Holman tells us, riders can expect live music, barbecue and prizes once they’ve made it back to town.
All in support of the Eganville Rotary Mental Health Project and the Eganville Food Bank, it’s a fun day for all to cruise for a good cause.
