96.1 myFM and Canadian Tire Renfrew’s All Hands on Deck Food Drive will grow to help even more Ottawa Valley families in need.
Station general manager Bob Dillabough is excited to add a new destination to the annual food drive’s itinerary this Thursday, August 20, as our team joins local volunteers in Renfrew, Shawville, and now Eganville to collect food, money, and other essentials as families face increasing financial strains during back-to-school season.
Dillabough says that adding a collection site at the Eganville Foodland has been in the works since last year’s drive and will also help residents living in the many surrounding rural communities that rely on the village as a central hub.
Proceeds from each stop will help keep shelves stocked at the Eganville Food Bank, Renfrew and District Food Bank, and Bouffe Pontiac. All donations are appreciated, and each group has made it easy for shoppers at all locations to make the maximum possible impact.
Volunteers will be accepting donations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Chris and Tanya’s No Frills and Renfrew Metro, Giant Tiger Shawville, and the Eganville Foodland.
