Time is running out for Shawville residents to acknowledge neighbours who go above and beyond for the community.
Municipal staff say that nominations are coming due for the James Hodgins Community Award, which they say will recognize those who demonstrate “outstanding leadership, volunteerism, community participation, and a genuine commitment to promoting participation and leadership in their hometown.”
The award honours the late Hodgins, a longtime volunteer, mentor, and municipal leader whom the municipality credits for devoting countless hours to many community organizations.
Nominations will be accepted at Town Hall or online until Friday, August 14. Nominations will also be accepted by email.
