THIS MONTH: The Cobden, Arnprior, and Renfrew Agricultural Societies present the Renfrew County Fair Jackpot 50/50. Proceeds from the raffle support community events and invest in improvements for all three volunteer-led organizations. Buy your tickets online, at the Valley Ag Festival August 8, the Cobden Fair August 28-30, or the Renfrew Fair September 10-13.
TODAY: The Arnprior Public Library welcomes newcomers to attend their free drop-in English as a Second Language program every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Meet new people, enjoy a coffee, and improve your English skills with the help of qualified volunteer tutors.
TODAY: The Downtown Renfrew BIA presents the Heart of Renfrew Market every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in July and August. Low Square will transform into a vibrant gathering place featuring local farmers, artisans, makers, and small businesses from across the Ottawa Valley. Plus, stick around for their weekly Music in the Square concert.
TODAY: The Eganville District Minor Hockey Association’s Pucks to Putters Golf Tournament plays at the Whitetail Golf Club this Friday, August 7! Proceeds will support funding team tournaments and equipment for their players.
TOMORROW: The Arnprior’s Valley Agricultural Festival returns to the Murray Yantha Centre this Saturday, August 8! The free, all-day event is dedicated to promoting agricultural education in the Valley, with Farmers and Homecrafters competing for the best locally grown and crafted creations and families getting an up-close visit with farm animals, and many more fun events.
TOMORROW: The Taste of the Valley 2026 season kicks off at the Railway Station Museum in Barry’s Bay from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm this Saturday! Celebrating all things grown, made, and created in Renfrew County, each stop on the annual tour will feature amazing local food, artisans, farmers, and creators.
SUNDAY: Music in the Park returns to Renfrew’s O’Brien Park, 65 Arthur Ave., from 1:00 to 3:00 this Sunday, weather permitting! Bring your camp chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to listen to some incredible local artists in this free concert series. This week: Morgan Colleen Weeks.
