The MBC Newsroom is monitoring a small wildfire burning between White Lake and the Madawaska River, not far from the Burnstown area.
Ontario’s wildfire monitor lists the blaze as an official active fire that is not under control.
The fire is estimated at point-one hectares, with lightning listed as the suspected cause.
The latest update came early Wednesday evening, at that time, no official perimeter had been published.
The fire is about 16 kilometres from Renfrew, 23 kilometres from Arnprior, and 34 kilometres from both Mississippi Mills and Almonte.
MBC News will continue to monitor the situation.
