Camp Day at Tim Hortons brought the people together to support underserved youth across Renfrew County and all of Canada over a few cups of coffee.
Communities across the Ottawa Valley flocked to Tim’s locations across the region on Wednesday, July 15, with the total sales from hot and iced coffee and special Camp Day merchandise helping to send underserved youth from the area to Camp des Voyageurs in Quyon.
Renfrew franchise co-owner Richard Dean says the support shown at the counter and in the drive-thru is another example of how ready and willing the community is to back worthy local causes.
Dean was joined throughout the day by notable community members and local organizations, including a delegation from the Town of Renfrew led by Mayor Tom Sidney, local first responders, members of the media, and other notable figureheads.
For Amber, a local first responder, Camp Day is a chance to meet with the people she serves outside her usual role.
Meanwhile, Dean also sends another massive thank you to his team at both of his stores, who once again put in the hard work behind another long, successful day of fundraising.
Local and national totals are expected by the end of the week, but past Camp Days in Renfrew have raised as much as $17,000.
