Work continues at Renfrew Victoria Hospital to build connections that will bring quality care closer to home for patients.
The hospital recently released their annual report for 2025/26, which CEO Suzanne Madore says highlights a year of exploration and learning about the current healthcare needs in the Ottawa Valley and how RVH can collaborate with their fellow regional hospitals, local paramedics, and other partners so patients can receive the treatments they need without leaving the county.
That includes tackling the challenge of identifying the need for specialty care in Ottawa Valley and then recruiting and retaining those specialists to ensure a smooth journey through the hospital for patients and their families.
After a year of understanding and strengthening the existing programs at RVH, Madore says the hospital is ready to use that knowledge to engage with the community to take the next step to make what’s already being offered even better.
RVH is expected to engage with patients, volunteers, and community partners to determine the organization’s next strategic direction moving forward.
