The Ottawa Valley Ontario Health Team marked the end of June by plotting a course for the next year.
Representatives from the OVOHT’s Patient, Family, and Caregiver Network met with healthcare leaders from across the region on Monday, June 29, for a joint planning session, reflecting on progress made and setting their priorities for 2026/27.
The meeting highlighted the progress made to strengthen regional partnerships, as well as improvements made to connect residents with primary care.
Participants also identified key priorities, including supporting more people to age in place, improving care for those with complex health and social needs, and focusing efforts to deliver the greatest impact.
The OVOHT says the session reinforced that meaningful transformations for local health care are not about doing more but doing the right things through strong partnership, clinical leadership, and shared priorities.
