The search for a missing Mansfield-et-Pontefract man has reportedly been put on hold.
The Sûreté du Québec has been looking for 66-year-old Jérôme Hérault since he was last seen on an ATV with his dog in a wooded area within the municipality on Friday, June 19.
Citing an update from an SQ spokesperson, The Equity reports that police called off their ground search for Hérault on Wednesday, June 24. The decision came after several days of combing the area on the ground, by helicopter, and by drone.
An investigation is ongoing.
Hérault is described as standing 5 ft 7 in tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has grey hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black and purple ATV helmet and a black and red jacket.
Anyone who has seen him is asked to call 9-1-1.
