Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP Billy Denault remains optimistic that a unity of local voices will win the day when it comes to the four-laning of Highway 17, but he must have heard the whispers.
The Member discounts the negativity that came out of Renfrew County’s Operations Committee discussion of May 27th, believeing the touchstone should be discussions from earlier this year.
Denault believes doing the expansion for Scheel Drive to Bruce Street will be facilitated by dividing the work into manageable chunks.
He disputes Renfrew County’s rationale that nothing will begin for the next decade.

The MPP says meetings like Thursday’s Open House in McNab-Braeside are an opportunity to spread the good word.
