TODAY: Renfrew’s youth can get some gym time in today at the myFM Centre! The town will open up the Home Hardware Gymnasium to the public for a free session every Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Ages 8+, registration required. Stick around afterward for a game of pick-up basketball from 7:00 to 9:00 pm for just $2 per person. Ages 13+, sign up online.
TODAY: The Renfrew Legion is setting its sights on weekly darts, every Monday afternoon at 1:00! Stop in to enjoy a game of darts with friends at the Legion Branch.
TODAY: The Highlands Social House, 981 Barryvale Road in Calabogie, present a Sunset Tote Bag Paint & Sip this Monday, June 15th! Join artist Morgana Dillingham for a fun, creative evening of painting, drinks, and connection while the sun sets. All experience levels welcome. $50/person, tote bag and painting materials provided. $5 from every ticket will be donated to the Greater Madawaska Public Library. Email Morgana to reserve your spot.
TOMORROW: Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church, 291 Plaunt Street South, invites you to their monthly Community Friendship Meal, this Tuesday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Drop in for a tasty lunch, with this month’s menu featuring Stir-fry with Meatballs, and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. This is the final community lunch until September.
TOMORROW: The Renfrew Public Library wraps up its Craft and Connect Series this Tuesday! To celebrate, they’re teaming up with the Local Immigration Partnership for an introduction to the Portuguese art of mosaics and teach a little something about the history of mosaic making. TOMORROW: Hospice Renfrew will host an afternoon of care, comfort, and compassion at their Connecting Parents in Grief workshop. Held every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at their office on Albert Street. This support group is a safe space to sit or share with parents who understand the unique loss of grieving a child. All bereaved parents, stepparents, and guardians welcome.
