The Town of Renfrew is ready to celebrate Pride Month with a colourful morning trek through town.
Programming Assistant Carrie Cunningham invites the community to wear white when they join them on their 3rd Annual Colour Run/Walk/Roll, working with the Local Immigration Partnership of Lanark & Renfrew and the local library for an active and inclusive day of fundraising on Saturday, June 13.
If you have never seen a colour run in action before, Cunningham highly recommends taking in the experience first-hand, calling it a hilarious stroll starting at Ma-te-Way Park onto the Millennium and Algonquin Trails before wrapping up in time for lunch with Renfrew PRIDE at Low Square.
She does recommend people taking part bring protective eyewear and something to act as a dust mask. Other than that, the day is all about a safe and fun day with friends and family.
Runners and rollers can pre-register now for $20 or show up at the event for $30. The town also encourages potential sponsors and volunteers to reach out to the programming team at 613-432-3131 or by email.
