Police in Whitewater Region say a driver is in trouble with the law after a turbulent ride along Highway 17.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to complaints of an erratic driver within the township just after 3:30 pm on May 16 and would locate the driver a short time later.
Officers utilized a roadside screening device as part of their investigation and would transport the driver to the detachment for further testing.
The 41-year-old driver from Gatineau has since been charged for impaired driving. Their driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
They have since been released ahead of a court date in June.
