Valley Animal Rescue continues working towards reopening intake for new animals as fundraising picks back up following a slow winter season.
Jodie Armstrong, the organization’s cat coordinator, takes us through how important those ongoing donations and volunteer efforts are when it comes to supporting owned and stray pets in need, whether by helping their owners with supplies, financial assistance, and temporary housing, or by giving the animals a safe environment while waiting for adoption.
VAR’s network of foster families spans across Ottawa and the Valley, but they are always looking to the community for people interested in becoming a foster, donating time and money to help their animals, or adopting a pet of their own.
