The Renfrew Wolves say a recent media report about the sale of the hockey group is “inaccurate”.
Inside Ottawa Valley.com published a report today saying that an investor group featuring NHL player Corey Perry has purchased the Renfrew Wolves Junior A team, the Timberwolves Junior B club and the Wolves Under-18 AAA squad.
In speaking with myFM News today, Wolves’ General Manager Carl Robillard would only say at this point that the information is “significantly off-base” but he does promise to provide more information soon.
The Central Canada Hockey League would have to approve any sale of the team(s) and has not publicly addressed a sale at this point.
