Renfrew Lion’s Club is preparing for another successful stroll in support of Dog Guides at the end of May.
Diana Larocque and Sarah Smeltzer will bring the club’s Walk for Dog Guides back to Ma-te-Way Park on Sunday, May 31st, bringing the community together in support of Canadians who rely on specially trained service dogs.
The annual fundraiser helps provide dog guides at no cost to individuals living with physical or medical challenges, including vision loss, diabetes, epilepsy, and mobility limitations.
Larocque and Smeltzer explain that the event is not only about raising money, but also about increasing awareness of the life-changing impact dog guides have on their handlers.
