A number of initiatives continue with efforts to assist local residents Sandee Rosien and her husband Mike, who were injured while vacationing in Ireland in April.
Sandee and Mike were involved in a serious multi-vehicle accident where EMS had to extract them from the vehicle April 10th.
Sandee is proprietor of Sandee’s Country Kitchen at 2 Elgin Street in Arnprior.
She was able to return home April 24th after her brother Kevin Rosien had gone to Ireland to help bring her and hubby Mike back.
Unfortunately Mike was deemed not well enough to travel via commercial airline passage- due to serious multiple injuries and dementia.
Should Mike be stable enough to travel in a medically assisted manner, the family is looking at a Medivac bill of over $100,000.
The family is hosting a benefit dance on June 5th to help Sandee with the anticipated bills of bringing Mike home, as well as the bills for the two hospital admittances.
Details about the dance can be found on this event FB page: https://bit.ly/4e6466v
The Go-Fund-Me initiative has to date raised $21,300 of 26k sought- but as indicated, a far greater amount may be needed to help get Mike home.
