Two people have been charged after police in Pembroke seized a loaded gun and drugs during a traffic stop. According to the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, they pulled the vehicle over around 1am last Thursday on Paul Martin Drive. Officers seized a loaded handgun, suspected fentanyl, cell phones and money. 26 year old Destini Barkley and 20 year old Nathaniel McDonald, both of Ottawa, face 15 charges, including drug possession and trafficking charges, along with various weapons offences. Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 1‑888‑310‑1122.
