TODAY: The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace Fundraiser holds it’s next draw this Thursday at 5:00 pm! Get your tickets at local retailers, online, or by dropping by the RVH Foundation office inside the hospital for a chance to win weekly prizes or the progressive jackpot if your catch the Ace of Spades. Proceeds support equipment upgrades for the medical team. All draws are streamed live on the RVH Foundation Facebook page.

TOMORROW: The last day for Renfrew Minor Hockey’s Youth Shinny Program is this Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm inside the myFM Centre. Players ages 9-13 can enjoy a fun, informal way to build confidence, get extra ice time, and enjoy the game with friends. Full equipment is required. Register online.
TOMORROW: Looking for a meaningful way to spend the upcoming PA Day? Give your child the confidence and skills they need to stay safe. McNab/Braeside hosts the Canadian Red Cross’ Stay Safe Course at the Murray Yantha Centre this Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. $70 plus tax, register online.
TOMORROW: The Renfrew Public Library is hosting a stuffy checkup clinic during the Friday PA Day. From 10:00 am to noon on May 15, kids aged 2 to 10 can bring their favourite stuffy in for a full checkup! Library staff will check their size, heart, and make sure they’re healthy. Participants will go home with a lollypop for their bravery!

Renfrew Minor Baseball will start its season over the week of May 11th, with games for all ages groups getting underway at the following locations: T-Ball – May 13 5:00 to 6:00 pm @ Tye Diamond. Rookie: May 12 5:00-6:00 pm @ Tye Diamond. Minor: May 12 and 14 6:30 – 8:30 pm @ Tye Diamond. Major: May 11 and 13 6:30 – 8:00 pm @ Tye Diamond. Junior: May 12 and 14 6:30 – 8:00 pm @ Seely Diamond.
