TODAY: 96.1 myFM’s Home, Cottage, and Leisure Show presented by BerryLane returns to the myFM Centre May 1st and 2nd! Over 70 vendors will take over the arena featuring everything dedicated to your plans for the summer, whether you are thinking about work or play! Plus, plenty of food options to choose from and a dedicated kids activity zone all Saturday. Drop in from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday.
TODAY: The Renfrew Curling Club welcomes you to Treasures at their fundraising garage sale. Many items will be ready to find a new home! Saturday May 2 from 8am to 11:30 am at the rink, 195 Xavier St. Everyone Welcome!
TODAY: The Great Downtown Renfrew Garage Sale returns to the Heart of Renfrew this Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm! Vendors will line the streets showcasing their treasures, while Downtown Renfrew businesses host sidewalk sales alongside them. Together, it creates one large, vibrant event that attracts hundreds of visitors to the downtown each year.
TODAY: St. Michael’s Catholic School in Douglas plays host to the Douglas Lions Club’s Euchre night, this Saturday! Doors open at 6:00 pm with Games beginning at 7:00 pm. $20/person, with proceeds supporting the local Lions club. Door prizes and a late lunch available on site.
TODAY: Spring rummage sale at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (68 Renfrew St, Pembroke) Saturday May 2nd from 8:30 am-11am. Good quality items for bargain prices. Shop early for best selection. Elevator available.
TOMORROW: The Hike For Hospice Renfrew returns this Sunday, May 3rd! Runners can register outside their Alberts St. office starting at 12:30 pm that afternoon, with the run getting underway at 2:00 pm. The runners participate in a timed run to Ma-te-way Park (myFM Centre) and back to Hospice Renfrew. The hike is a nice leisurely walk of about one hour through downtown Renfrew to Low Square and returns to Hospice Renfrew. After the runners and hikers return, prizes will be awarded, and the tally of the pledges will be announced. Proceeds from the Hike For Hospice help assist with their operating costs.
TOMORROW: Renfrew’s Home Hardware Building Centre is hosting a Mothers Day workshop from 10-2 on Sunday, May 3rd! Bring the kids to make something for Mom.

Renfrew Minor Baseball has released it’s Week 1 Schedule, with all age groups starting their season between May 6th and May 9th: T-ball– Wednesday 5:30 to 6:30, Rookie– Tuesday 5 to 6:30, Minor– Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8, Major– Monday and Wednesday 6:30-8 , Jr/Sr– Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8
Renfrew Minor Soccer will host a Meet the Coaches night at the myFM Centre from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on Monday, May 4th. There will also be a Referees meeting at the arena at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 13th.
