At approximately 4:10 p.m. this afternoon the Horton Fire Department along with emergency services were called out to a multi-vehicle collision within Horton Township by the intersection of O’Brien Road and Highway 17.
Horton Fire Chief, Allan Cole, said there were two vehicles involved.
The tanker was confirmed to be carrying Ammonium nitrate which is typically used as a fertilizer in agriculture.
Cole said there was no need to close lanes, and traffic was flowing freely within about 45 minutes after the initial response.
