The Town of Renfrew will honour workers harmed on the job with a special ceremony this afternoon.
Community members are invited to join the Renfrew and District Labour Council at the Workers Memorial near the swinging bridge in O’Brien Park to commemorate the National Day of Mourning at noon today, April 28th, remembering workers who have been killed, injured, or made ill due to workplace incidents.
Town staff say the event will be an opportunity to pay respects and reaffirm commitment to safe and healthy workplaces for all.
