If you’re a supporter of the Arnprior-McNab-Braeside Men’s Shed, then this weekend’s for you!
Not only is Sunday the date for the Men’s Shed Spring Craft Sale at the Murray Yantha Community Centre on Russett Drive, beginning at 10AM… but you should reserve your afternoon for the Buskers’ Cafe event at the Men’s Shed itself on River Road in Braeside, starting at 2PM.
Sunday’s Busker’s Cafe event, customarily occurring from 2-330PM in the Main Community Hall of the Arnprior Public Library has moved to the Men’s Shed in Braeside for a special performance. It is a fundraiser for the Men’s Shed and will return to the library in May.
Taking part at the Braeside concert are Kathleen Johnson, Alan Sandeman, Jill Jeffrey, Fred Dell’Amico- and Sjef Frenken, who will act as MC.
Fred Dell’Amico is the musician tasked with publicity
Dell’Amico put away his band saw in exchange for a four-string tenor guitar.
He says performance opportunities for those who busk are becoming fewer, and further between- but he’s grateful for them.
The Busker’s Cafe Spring Folk Fest features free admission, with donations to the Men’s Shed.
It takes place Sunday April 26th from 2-4PM at the former Braeside Public School, 832 River Road.
