Arnprior residents have only had to deal with minimal flooding as spring flows continue to rise along the Ottawa River, but the risk is still there.
With temperatures set to climb this week, the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board says water levels are likely to plateau or slowly decrease over the next few weeks. However, that is heavily dependent on how much rain, if any, falls within the local watershed during that time.
The Town of Arnprior has located a sandbagging station for resident use in the Diamond 1 parking lot of McLean Park which can be accessed from McNab Street, directly across from the Macnamara Trail.
The Town reminds you that Riverview Drive is closed between Lena Street and McLean Avenue. Please use McNab Street to access this station.
