Community members in Calabogie are looking for long-term answers as a local day care needs a new home.
In an announcement made on Tuesday, April 7th, the Calabogie Lions Club notes that their clubhouse, which currently houses Calabogie Childcare Ltd., will need significant repairs that are currently beyond what is feasible or practical given the age of the building.
As such, the site will need to be vacated by September 1st.
The club says that decision was not made lightly and with the full awareness that many families in the community would be impacted. However, the building is not a sustainable space for the daycare centre in its current condition.
