Environment Canada is urging the Ottawa Valley to be careful as more rain could cause problems for commuters.
After a break in precipitation on Monday afternoon, the weather agency says another 10 to 20 millimetres may hit the region on Tuesday.
They add that the ground, which is already near saturation, will have little ability to absorb the rain when it hits, causing water to likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas.
Environment Canada says to avoid going through flooded roadways and to watch for washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
