Making a difference will be made easier than ever thanks to Renfrew’s 2nd annual Volunteer Fair.
Town program assistant Carrie-Anne Cunningham says the fair, which successfully debuted last fall, will return on Wednesday, April 22nd, celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Month by bringing local organizations in need of a helping hand face-to-face with community members eager to pitch in.
The event is a perfect opportunity for residents to explore causes that they might be passionate about and to find the perfect volunteer role for them, and moving it to April makes it ideal for students seeking more volunteer hours as the school year gets closer to wrapping up.
Cunningham welcomes volunteers of all ages to bring a friend and an open mind when you drop by the fair, adding that a resume is not necessary but could be handy for someone looking to showcase their skills.
The Town of Renfrew’s Volunteer Fair will open inside the myFM Centre’s community hall from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22nd.
