Do golfers love cookies? They sure do at the Renfrew Golf Club!
General Manager Greig Burnie says their members and visitors are getting ready for the return of golf season locally with their 5th annual Masters Cookie Pool, as each specially made Masters-themed treat designed by Cakes by Katie in Douglas will tie its owner to one of the golfers seeking glory in Augusta, Georgia, over the April 9th weekend.
A few RGC Bucks are up for grabs based on the top finishers at the world-renowned stop on the PGA Tour, but Burnie says the real prize for the club is the opportunity to rekindle the strong passion for the sport within the Ottawa Valley after a long winter break.
Club members and the general public have already bought out the first pool of cookies and are quickly claiming the remaining spots. Burnie says those looking to have a little fun with the local golfing community should act fast and make time for a trip to their clubhouse later this week to find out who they will be cheering for.
The cookies are $20 each and can be bought through the Renfrew Golf Club website. The draw takes place inside the Slim Lounge at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8th.
