The Renfrew Wolves are on the back foot as they got close but couldn’t complete the comeback in Ottawa.
Renfrew lost to the Jr. Senators 3-2 in game three of their CCHL first-round playoff series on Wednesday night.
The Wolves found themselves in a 2-goal hole before Joshua Lalande and Toby Almstedt scored to tie the game early in the third period, only for Ottawa’s Wynston Iserhoff to score the winning goal with 10 minutes left.
Renfrew now trails Ottawa in their best-of-seven series 2-1 as the action returns to Renfrew’s myFM Centre this Friday at 7:30 pm for game four.
