There’s a bounty being put on a few notable Renfrew names, all in support of the local library.
The Renfrew Public Library will host a Jail and Bail fundraiser on Saturday, May 9th, something acting library board chair Haley Heaslip says will be a fun and visible way for the community to get together and support what is a vital local resource that serves over 4,000 active patrons.
While Heaslip is keeping the identities of who will be locked up that weekend under wraps until the library can produce some light-hearted wanted posters, she was willing to share a few hints for the community to consider.
The initiative is part of Heaslip’s personal goal to raise $1,500 to help the library maintain and improve their services, including the replacement of items like Chromebooks and other digital items, without having to ask town staff to help.
Participants will be reaching out to their networks within the community in the coming days in order to get their “bail” funds in order ahead of the event.
