Anyone heading into Renfrew’s myFM Centre on Tuesday will have to mind work being done near the front doors.
The main entrance to the arena will be closed to the public from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 24th, as Recreation Operations Supervisor Shawn Eckford explains that his team has been busy installing new flooring inside the upstairs community hall and needs some space to handle the old floor.
He says the new floor comes courtesy of the town’s recreation fundraising committee, who decided it was time to ditch the old shuffleboard patterns for something a little more modern as the hall continues to see regular use throughout the year.
Eckford advises arena-goers to use either the rear or side doors to the arena while work is underway, noting that everything should be back to normal well ahead of game four of the EOJHL Jr. B Division Finals series between the Renfrew Timberwolves and Smiths Falls Bears that evening at 8:00.
