TODAY: The Renfrew Legion will be lively this Friday evening as a washer toss tournament gets underway at their Raglan Street clubhouse starting with registration at 6:00 pm. Entry fee: $1o per person. Come on out and have some fun testing your aim, skill, and luck!
TODAY: Get ready to test your knowledge of movies and music this Friday night at the Horton Community Centre on Castleford Road! Township staff invite you to join them that evening starting at 6:30 pm for a round of trivia hosted by Jason Marshall, featuring questions from all eras and genres making it the perfect outing for all ages. Plus, cash prizes and a cash bar! New for this week, the township challenges trivia players to bring their best and most creative snacks! Prizes for the team with the best snacks.
TOMORROW: The Renfrew and District Food Bank is taking part in the annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising campaign this Saturday, February 28th. Join them in a 2 or 5 kilometer walk along the downtown core starting from their office, 8 Argyle Street South, at 4:00 pm. Hot chocolate and snacks will be available for those taking part in the walk. This year’s goal: $20,000 to help fight local food insecurity. Donate online.
TOMORROW: The Whitewater Sno-Goers will honour the late member McGregor Madigan with a memorial ride this Saturday, February 28th. Snowmobilers are invited to meet up at the club’s Cobden Warming station along Trail A, just off of Highway 17, that morning at 10:00 for registration, followed by a loop around the local trails at noon. Plus, bacon on a bun, a 50/50 draw, and special merch will be on sale. Registration on site is $25, with proceeds supporting the Madigan’s as they cope with their loss.
