After six years as a Member of Parliament- much of the time in the Justin Trudeau Cabinet, MP Steven Guilbeault resigned from the Mark Carney inner circle November 27th of last year, after the Prime Minister reached a Pacific pipeline deal with Alberta.
Guilbeault was serving as Culture Minister at the time.
The former Equiterre co-founder and Greenpeace activist had spent decades lobbying for Environmental protections prior to joining the Justin Trudeau Liberals.
But Guilbeaut isn’t through talking quite yet.
That’s local Council of Canadians animator Anne Pohl, who says the former cabinet minister still has questions..
Guilbeault’s webinar is entitled: “Where do we go next on climate?” and Pohl says it will be an interesting story to hear.
Guilbeault still sits in Parliament as the Liberal member for Laurier—Sainte-Marie, a federal riding in Montreal.
The Climate Matters spokesperson says Wednesday’s presentation should be quite interesting.
The Seniors for Climate Event begins February 25th at 630PM.
