Ontario families will have the chance to cast a line without a fishing license during the province’s annual Free Fishing Family Day weekend.
Held twice yearly, including the February Family Day long weekend, the event allows residents to fish in lakes, rivers, and streams provincewide.
Standard catch limits, size regulations, and protected areas remain in effect.
The weekend is designed to encourage families to enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and experience the excitement of fishing together.
