Township staff in Greater Madawaska could be expecting a packed crowd for an important discussion later this week.
A public meeting has been scheduled for 3:00 pm this Thursday, February 12th, as council debates a pair of zoning amendments that will allow for the development of 15 new trailer sites at the Bayview Campground, as well as a commercial resort near Stones Lake, which will include a 200-unit hotel and private cabins, a commercial hub, pedestrian plaza and walking paths, and a Nordic-style spa.
Seating inside council chambers is limited, but the township says those who can’t get in will be able to watch virtually through their YouTube channel.
Residents are welcome to voice their comments and concerns during the meeting, either in person or virtually by registering in advance through the Clerk’s office. Written comments will also be accepted via email.
The township appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation with this matter.
