The OPP’s Renfrew Detachment is pleased with the feedback it received after hosting fraud prevention seminars in both Renfrew and Arnprior last week.
The sessions brought residents together for informative and engaging discussions focused on protecting the community from fraud and scams. Each session was well-attended and provided valuable information on current fraud trends, common scams targeting seniors and vulnerable populations, and practical steps residents can take to safeguard themselves and loved ones.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and engage directly with OPP representatives, resulting in meaningful dialogue and increased awareness.
Officials thank community partners and local venues in Renfrew and Arnprior for their support in making these events a success.
The OPP encourages anyone who believes they may have been targeted or victimized by fraud to report it to police and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
