Can't get a coffee without getting a donut too | Mik Horvath/MBC
Fundraising has already started for March’s Polar Plunge, and now the Renfrew Tim Hortons locations are another catalyst of Special Olympics support.
This weekend, on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1 only, Renfrew Tim Hortons locations will be selling limited-edition Special Olympics donuts and all proceeds will go directly to programs supporting local and provincial Special Olympics athletes.
Shelly Dean has been running the locations with her husband, Richard, for a few years now and Dean said Renfrew always drums up lots of support.
Renfrew Tim Hortons have run the fundraiser previously and Dean said there is always lots of support for these kinds of programs.
Despite the promotion starting tomorrow, customers can pre-order the special edition donuts.
A unique fundraiser requires unique confectionaries, the special donut is a chocolate-vanilla affair.
Drop by either of the Tim Hortons locations in Renfrew tomorrow and the day after to show support for Special Olympics athletes and programming.
